Wellington Farm is a 60 acre open-air interpretive museum designed to provide educational experiences to it’s visitors about rural like in mid-America during the Great Depression. The farm provides visitors with an opportunity to experience history first hand. The farm includes the a Barn Yard with a variety of farm animals, Blacksmith Shop, Carpenter Shop, Grist Mill, Machine Shed, Saw Mill, Farmstead Summer Kitchen, Blacksmith Shop, and Smithville Church. All buildings are accessible to the public a costumed volunteers are often on hand to provide historical and dramatic interpretation. A variety of events are scheduled throughout the year: Tractor Pull, Dairy Days, Vintage Car Show, Dinner Theater, Sticky Buns Day, Tractor Show, Folk Arts Festival, Punkin Chunkin, Hauting of Wellington, Farm by Lantern Light, 1932 Christmas Church Service. It makes for a great adventure for the whole family.
